Act Now Against O’Farrell’s WorkChoices - Emergency meeting of key Unions

Last week we saw the O’Farrell Government take advantage of their majority to push through legislation.

Now, with the stroke of a pen, Barry O’Farrell can determine your wages and conditions, overriding hundreds of years of workplace law.

These laws will:
• cut services to the community,
• cut the pay and conditions of public sector workers AND flow on to other workers,
• undermine the ability of public sector unions to effectively represent their members, and
• end the independent role of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission
We cannot stand idly by.

As Union members, and activists, we can see the need for effective action in response to this attack. That is why we are calling for all activists to come to an emergency meeting to determine what our response will be.
