@BarryOFarrell steps in to protect Souris from Star questions #NSWpol

THE Premier, Barry O'Farrell, intervened to shield his Hospitality Minister, George Souris, during question time yesterday as the opposition resumed its attack on the government over the Star casino scandal.
Mr O'Farrell intercepted two questions directed at Mr Souris, electing to answer them himself as he is allowed to under parliamentary rules.
The intervention prompted the acting manager of opposition business, Nathan Rees, to accuse Mr O'Farrell of protecting Mr Souris. ''This is the NSW Parliament, it's not a protection racket,'' he said.
