Premier @barryofarrell urged to testify as casino inquiry claims first scalp #NSWpol

THE Premier, Barry O'Farrell, is being challenged to volunteer for cross-examination at the inquiry into the Star as his friend and communications director, Peter Grimshaw, yesterday became the first casualty of the casino scandal.
Mr Grimshaw resigned soon after being excused from the inquiry, where he had endured more than a day of questioning about whether he had sought to influence an internal investigation into sexual harassment claims against the casino's former managing director, Sid Vaikunta.
On Monday the inquiry was read text messages by Mr Grimshaw suggesting that Mr O'Farrell had threatened to give the casino a ''wake-up call'' and planned to ''smash Star'' months before he was elected premier.
