Let's get something straight - the 40,000 public sector workers that were at the Domain on Thursday, couldn't give a rats whether it was a text message, an email, or a carrier pigeon. What was clear from Mark Lennon, and the representatives speaking on stage, was that the process of putting the number into our phones was to 'SEND A MESSAGE TO BARRY O'FARRELL'. The semantics about whose number it was, whether it was a text or not, is irrelevant. The mood of the people, the spirit, intent, and indeed words used, was to 'send a message'.Well, we all got responses today from the service sending the messages. Our message has been processed, and is in you inbox. So our question to you, Mr Premier, are you getting the messages, and are you listening?40,000 tax paying, working people who protect and serve the community, and who vote in NSW, sent you a message. You can be flippant and frivolous, if it earns you skippy badges from your conservative colleagues, but ignore the messages at your own political peril. Don't let your ego, your pride, and your common sense, stop you from finding some common ground in this issue. You put your hand up for the job, and now you need make a decision.Amend the Bill, restore our rights, or we'll show you, and your party, the door.
