The State has Become the Bodyguard of the Capitalist Corporations
In Capitalism, Consumerism, Debt Prison, Democracy, IMF-WorldBank-Wall Street- Complex on August 22, 2011 at 2:47 pmWherever you look, whatever you see, there are constant reminders of how the state has been high jacked by capital. Politicians come from great capitalist families. Capitalists come from high government positions and the cycle continues to repeat itself.
In the process, the people are neglected, severely exploited and essentially put into bond slavery by the bondholders and debt profiteers.
Essentially, the government has become nothing more than a machine which insures the smooth flow of poisonous capital into our lives. The government has become nothing more than a disease which insures that capitalists continue to keep their clutches around our throats.
How did we come to this?
The answer is simple, complacency, we began to believe that government is the benevolent father. We began to stupidly believe that the government works for the people. We began to blindly accept the rhetoric presented to us by the mass media machine, which works to benefit both the government and the corporations.
We must escape this diseased cycle immediately, government officials should have no personal, familial, financial relations to corporations. Anyone who was the CEO of a corporation should be banned from public office. Goldman Sachs CEO’s should be banned from becoming treasury secretaries.
The children of politicians should be pulled out of luxurious private schools and placed into public school.
Government officials should be reminded that their job is to help the people that elected them and not to cozy up to new business relations.
